The Family Farm: a Species at Risk – NFU-NB Presentation in Woodstock

The NFU-NB is inviting all farmers to join them for a presentation and discussion with former National Farmers Union Women’s President, Joan Brady who will speak on The Family Farm: a Species at Risk.

The meeting will be held at the Knights Inn Woodstock (formerly Atlantic Inn) at 276 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville NB at 7 pm on Monday, April 6.

Joan Brady is a family farmer, business person and community volunteer. She has worked in her community in various capacities which center around food production, distribution, accessibility and use. Over the past 30 years she has developed a base of expertise in the agriculture and food industry and has a consulting business: “Sustainable Futures: Farm and Food Consulting”. She works to educate and activate communities around food system development and policy initiatives.

The meeting is free and is open to NFU-NB members, all farmers, and members of the general public. If you are a current NFU-NB farm member come by to pick up your free NFU hats and farm signs.
