Publications
The National Farmers Union’s Publications are a cornerstone of our role as Canada’s national farm organization, embodying our commitment to independent, grassroots, member-led discourse on agriculture.
These publications offer deep dives into critical issues affecting Canadian agriculture today—from the impacts of climate change and the nuances of fertilizer usage to strategic marketing and comprehensive farm policy. As vehicles for both education and advocacy, they ensure that our members and the public are not only well-informed but also well-equipped to engage with and influence the ongoing conversations and decisions that shape the future of farming in Canada.
The National Farmers Union formerly published a quarterly magazine called the Union Farmer Quarterly, now called the Union Farmer, which is sent out twice a year and an occasional newsletter called the Union Farmer Newsletter.
We also publish briefs on agriculture policy topics. Winning entries from the NFU’s annual award for young writers in honour of the late Paul Beingessner are also published here. In addition, we have posted some other publications that will be of interest to our members.
