Indigenous peoples’ diverse knowledges, worldviews and political economies provide crucial guidance for building more respectful, collaborative, just and life-affirming relationships with one another and the Earth.

Importantly, the work of NFU members over many decades, along with Indigenous-led learning circles, have laid the groundwork for a resolution passed at our 2023 national convention to create an Indigenous Solidarity Strategy where Indigenous and non-Indigenous/settler NFU members can work across committees and caucuses to reflect on and educate ourselves about Indigenous sovereignties, land justice, and rematriation.
Please join us for an open discussion on these important topics co-led by Matthew Wiens, regional representative, and our regional organizer, Leanna Wiebe. Matthew will provide further context for the NFU’s Indigenous Solidarity Strategy and where this work is at today. Afterwards, Leanna will lead a round-table discussion on possible opportunities and pathways for action in Manitoba.
Zoom Drop-ins are a crucial way to connect with the NFU-Manitoba community. Most of the event will be yours for open discussions, building connections among our members, and collective strategizing for action. We hope to see you there!
