DESCRIPTION:Unearthing Stories of Food Justice: Films and Conversations About Farming\, Food Sovereignty\, and Art \nJoin us on Tuesday March 26th at the Malvern Library in Scarborough\, ON from 6:00pm to 8:00pm EST! This casual event will be a great opportunity to learn more about farming\, food sovereignty\, and storytelling. Be inspired by 3 films about BIPOC farmers across Canada featured in the National Farmers Union Depth of Field project\, followed by a panel about how food and art can help us connect to home and imagine new and better futures. \nCome meet some of the farmers from Malvern Urban Farm\, as well as Sun\, a local artist participating in FoodShare’s Toronto Food Stories program. \nDon’t miss out on this incredible event! The films showcase Canadian farmers and farm workers\, and their sustainable farming practices on and off the land.
