SUMMARY:Farm Succession: A Farmer Meetup and Discussion
DESCRIPTION:As farmers look toward retirement\, the majority of farmers today do not have a succession plan in place. Join us for an informal discussion. \nAt this event we will hear from farmers and other attendees about the various elements\, pitfalls and processes that make familial and non-familial succession a sometimes difficult issue for farmers to navigate. \nThe event will take place inside the Kemptville College greenhouses. \nAs more and more farmers look toward retirement\, the majority of farmers today do not have a succession plan in place. Join this informal gathering of farmers hosted by the National Farmers Union – Ontario to explore how farmers today can access succession resources and planning materials to navigate this difficult problem facing many farmers today. \nLight refreshments available.

DESCRIPTION:This year’s NFU-O Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Convention will be held on Saturday\, March 1st\, 2025 at the University of Toronto\, Scarborough Campus. \n\n\n\nWe are excited to announce that we will be hosting this in-person gathering in partnership with the UTSC Department of Physical & Environmental Sciences\, Feeding City Lab\, and Sustainable Food & Farming Futures SF3 Cluster.
