SUMMARY:IPC Caucus Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The IPC Caucus meeting happening at the NFU Convention on November 22nd at 7Pm AT / 6pm EST / 5pm CT / 4pm MST / 3pm PT. (zoom link below). \nAyla Fenton\, Maddie Marmor and Amber Dyk are looking forward to facilitating and hosting the meeting. \nThe goals for this meeting are: \n\n\nTo deepen relationships amongst IPC members and amongst IPC Working Groups. \n\n\nTo learn about work that the three working groups have done over the past year. \n\n\nTo generate creative discussion about how to best use IPC space\, time and capacity. Specifically\, when to do internal cross pollination work (and report backs) and when to do international/LVC work. \n\n\nTo run a meeting in a particular way that could act as a blueprint or initial format for how we do the cross-pollination work going forwards. \n\n\n  \nThe basic structure of the day will look like:  \n\n\nSharing of Vision\, Mission and Goals \n\n\nThree Working Groups share (10 mins each) \n\n\nRelationships building process (40mins) \n\n\nReflect on this cross pollination meeting \n\n\nWe hope attendees consider that this meeting will be run a little differently than a typical NFU meeting. We’ll be inviting folks to share not just what they’ve been up to this year but also how it impacted them personally. Storytelling\, relationship building\, cross pollination and collective learning through reflection are the big ideas that we are building the program for the day from. Please consider preparing to participate in the way that works best for you to be present for the big ideas\, big feelings and big goals we hope to talk about together! \n  \nPlease reach out to Amber at amber.dyck93@gmail.com with any questions or concerns. \n~~~~~~ \nIPC is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting. \nTopic: IPC Caucus meeting at convention\nTime: Nov 22\, 2022 06:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)\n(7Pm AT / 6pm EST / 5pm CT / 4pm MST / 3pm PT.) \n Join Zoom Meeting\nhttps://us02web.zoom.us/j/87676398157?pwd=dnFnV3I4NE9ncDV1S1k2bmJ1QXZrUT09 \nMeeting ID: 876 7639 8157\nPasscode: 509664\nOne tap mobile\n+15873281099\,\,87676398157#\,\,\,\,*509664# Canada\n+16473744685\,\,87676398157#\,\,\,\,*509664# Canada \nDial by your location\n        +1 587 328 1099 Canada\n        +1 647 374 4685 Canada\n        +1 647 558 0588 Canada\n        +1 778 907 2071 Canada\n        +1 780 666 0144 Canada\n        +1 204 272 7920 Canada\n        +1 438 809 7799 Canada\nMeeting ID: 876 7639 8157\nPasscode: 509664\nFind your local number: https://us02web.zoom.us/u/kdTA9PrHKX

SUMMARY:Confronting Concentration—2022 National Convention
DESCRIPTION:The National Farmers Union’s 53rd National Convention Confronting Concentration will confront corporate concentration in our food systems\, together in Saskatoon\, or from the comfort of your own home. The NFU is eager to host an array of diverse change-makers\, experts\, and organizers to the convention. Find our program highlights here.  \nRegister to attend either in person in Saskatoon or from wherever you are\, virtually. A sliding scale of registration fees exist for members\, BIPOC\, Youth\, Students and Farmworker folks and for non-members.  \nAfter two years of an online convention\, we’ve learned how to make the best of it\, but we’re so excited to finally have the option to be together in person again. Lifelong friendships\, connections and community have been built for over 50 years\, and those relationships are what are at the core of organizing and change making. We’d love to have new people attend the Convention and participate in pre-convention Caucus meetings. Please share with any of your friends who might be interested.  \nIn solidarity!
