DESCRIPTION:October 16th & 17th in Saskatoon\, SK \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocation: Broadway Collective (733 Broadway Ave) in Saskatoon. \n\n\n\nOr online via Zoom: \n\n\n\nZoom Link \n\n\n\nAgenda:\n\n\n\n9:30 am – Doors and registration \n\n\n\n10:00 am – Call to order \n\n\n\n10:30 am – National updates from NFU Executive Director\, David Thompson \n\n\n\n11:00 am – Canola and Agri/Cultural Transformations\, presentation by Michael Gertler and JoAnn Jaffe \n\n\n\n12:00 pm – break for lunch \n\n\n\n1:15 pm – Region 6 member and committee reports \n\n\n\n2:00 pm – Regenerating Cultures of Agriculture: Our farms\, our province\, our union\, facilitated conversation for all attendees \n\n\n\n2:40 pm – Regional council elections \n\n\n\n3:00 pm – Regional Resolutions \n\n\n\n3:30 pm – Adjourn \n\n\n\nRegistration: If attending in person\, pay-what-you-can or a suggested fee of $30 to cover refreshments and venue. We will share a list of quick nearby lunch options. Registration can be paid at the door by cash or e-transfer. A fee of $20 is suggested for online participants to help cover AV tech and support. This can be paid via e-transfer to nfu@nfu.ca. Include a note stating “R6 Convention Online Registration Fee.” \n\n\n\nAll are welcome to attend and participate but only farmer and farm-worker members may propose and vote on resolutions\, or run for and vote on elected positions. Nominations are sought (in advance or from floor) for Region 6 Council positions: \n\n\n\n\nthree regional council members/national board representatives; \n\n\n\none women’s advisory committee member; \n\n\n\none youth advisory committee member; \n\n\n\none BIPOC advisory committee member; \n\n\n\none International Programs committee member;\n\n\n\nup to three additional council members-at-large.\n\n\n\n\nRSVP to Julie Maxwell at vp-operations@nfu.ca and indicate: \n\n\n\n\nAre you attending online or in person? \n\n\n\nWould you like to submit any nominations?
