SUMMARY:Reading Harvesting Freedom: A Discussion Circle on Migrant Labour
DESCRIPTION:It’s Migrant Spring*! Join us for a reading group with Gabriel Allahdua\, the author of Harvesting Freedom\, and his co-author\, Ed Dunsworth. This will be a facilitated space for learning and sharing thoughts on action to strengthen the NFU’s commitment to solidarity with migrant workers.   \nGabriel Allahdua is an organiser\, former migrant worker\, and author who captivated us during his presentation at NFU Convention this past November. In his book\, Harvesting Freedom\, Allahdua provides a singular firsthand account of farm worker experiences of temporary foreign worker programs\, and offers a systemic critique that is crucial to strengthening food sovereignty and policy change rooted in solidarity. \nALL NFU MEMBERS RECEIVE A 30% DISCOUNT ON HARVESTING FREEDOM WHEN ORDERED DIRECTLY FROM BETWEEN THE LINES PRESS. \nREGISTER to receive the discount code and join the discussion!  \n*This Discussion Circle is in coordination with the Migrant Rights Network’s national call for a “Migrant Spring”\, which asks us all to step up our commitment to anti-racism education and mobilising for labour and immigration justice. \nThis project is funded [in part] by the Government of Canada.Ce projet est financé [en partie] par le gouvernement du Canada. \n
